A month after offering an early retirement incentive to its teachers, Visalia Unified School District officials want to do the same for its management and nonteaching staff.

District offers early retirement to teachers (San Diego Union-Tribune)

National School District teachers who file retirement papers by May 8 will receive a payout equal to 50 percent of their salary, up to $41,246. Teachers must be at least 50 years old and have worked at least 10 consecutive years in the district.
